Fiona has worked as a fitness instructor since 1996, originally teaching Aerobics and Studio conditioning classes..
In 2001 Fi trained as a Modern Pilates instructor and is qualified to take group classes, 1-on-1 sessions, Pre & Post natal clients and those requiring exercise for back care.
Over the past few years she has enhanced this by training to take Pilates clients onto the large studio equipment including the reformer and Combo chair.. Since training with the APPI (Australian Physiotherapy and Pilates Institute), recognised for its excellence in clinical Pilates, she has the knowledge and experience to advise clients that require the extra care and attention to develop a safe and effective Pilates program at the first rehabilitative stage. Fiona can advise clients on safe exercise when they have Neurological conditions and suffer from Osteoporosis, and also runs specialist workshops to help with Pelvic floor problems and Sports specific workshops including Pilates for Golf and Tennis.
Fiona is an experienced Sports massage Therapist and is able to offer her clients Deep tissue massage, Posture and Movement analysis and remedial therapies. As a skilled and experienced Pilates practitioner and massage therapist she is able to offer combination treatments in movement and hands on work. This can be particularly beneficial to those in the early stages of rehabilitation and anyone that needs more specific treatment.
Having completed her KMI Structural Integration training (Tom Myers, Anatomy Trains) at the end of 2008, she is now one of only a handful of therapists able to offer SI and connective tissue work in East Anglia. Fiona can help with problems such as muscular imbalances and postural problems, many of her clients seeking her out to help with long term chronic pain.
